Front brake drum question

Does anyone know how to get the drum off a 75 4wheel drive on the front passenger side? Do the lockouts need to come off or not. It does not look like they do but I cant get the drum off even though I have released the brake shoe tension through the back.

If the lockouts have to come off how do I do it? If not what is going wrong. I didnt have any problem with the back rear wheels.

it should just slide off. You dont have to take the hub apart. I just pulled one of mine this morning on my mud truck. Use a big screwdriver or a small prybar and wedge it between the drum and backing plate and try to pry it off. While you are prying on it tap the drum with a hammer between the wheel studs. A lot of times the drum will rust to the hub. Sometimes it is necessary to heat the drum with a torch to get it off. If you do that, push a candle against it when it is hot and let the wax run into the gap. There may be a lip on the inside of the drum that is hanging up on the edge of the pad, but if you backed the shoes off there isnt a lot more you can do about it. Just take your time and good luck. dont give up.
