Scored a 36 Ford 5 window rumble seat coupe today. field car, body is all there, mostly straight, not much rust. No engine, tranny, glass or title. I have a guy who wants to trade me this 42 Fire truck with 16,000 miles, supposed to run. Not sure it would be a good trade, 36 coupes are a lot harder to find than jailbar fire trucks. What do you think?
If you want to flip it to sell, the coupe will bring more. We've all seen these firetrucks go for cheap, it's a very small market for them. I'm partial to the truck, but from a $ perspective, the coupe is the way to go. If you trade him that coupe for the fire truck, he got the better deal

C'mon WB, we need pics of the coupe! Nice fire truck, and they DO make a good flatbed truck, but it's a lot of work. The 42 is the only year with the chrome ford script on the hood. The coupe body could be worth a lot of money and way easier to ship if someone from out of town buys it.
The cab, hood!!!, and grille panel are in really good condition.
Montana truck in solid condition, new set of chrome jailbars in the front seat. The one in the background is a 47 I bought the cab from for the doors to use on my panel. Roof and title went to the neighbor and you can only guess who got the grill bars, lol.
I tending to think the coupe is a keeper. for a while anyway. It would have to be at least third in line on the project list. But I've always wanted a 30s Coupe and could never afford a whole one with any potential. Got a Y block, overdrive and Grenada 9 inch, hmmm....

I have been intrigued by this fire truck since I first saw it on Bismanonline. I even have a satellite shot of it.
