Trip to the U-pull
Well, my plan to get a set of heads for my 351 swap went down in flames yesterday. While I managed to scored a correct remote mount TFI 351 distributor for $25 I was unable to get the heads off.
The exhaust bolts were too degraded on the passenger side to get them loose so I couldn't get to the head bolts below them. The drivers side came out with zero fuss so I should have know then it was going too well.
Was a 96 f250 with the dual head pipes instead of the y-pipe, so maybe I'll go back for that later. Its a roller block, but no way to get it out where they have the truck.
And its the only Windsor engine out there, all sorts of 300s and Modulars but no 302s just one 351.
So Saturday I'm driving a 100 miles to Springfield IL to look at a set of E7s from a Bronco, for $75, because apparently all the Windsor heads in less than 100 miles disappeared or are worth 700 bucks.

No joke, the only heads on craigslist, within 100 miles are a set of $100 gt40p's that's I don't want to mess with the plug angles, a set of $300 E6SE heads and 2 sets of E7s $75 and $400.
A year ago when I was getting heads for my Nova, there were Windsor heads galore, now nothing.
