Apple CarPlay data
Just an informative post here. If you run out of data on your phone plan, Apple CarPlay doesn't work! It's like the truck doesn't even recognize that the phone is plugged in. It charges, but that's it. You can't even play music from your library! The one thing I actually like is that you can use the factory Nav while the phone is plugged in (wish you could have the option between Apple Maps and regular Nav.)
I have an 8GB plan with Verizon and have never gone over- usually use 4-6GB. The kids have been using my phone as a hotspot and I've been driving a lot this month using the Apple Maps, so I understand why. I guess it's time to upgrade to the unlimited plan.....
