Hey Jeff. That rod you show in the pic. Where can I get one? I can't find the one I had anywhere in my parts. I have a Carter AFB and it has the ball studs. Also, do I need to know the size. Just from vague memory I would say mine was close to 8 in. long. That sound in the park for one of those?
The one in my pic I had fabbed myself. I went to Ace hardware and bought the stuff. The ends came with the ball studs in them. 2-ends, one piece of all thread, and the aluminum tube you see over the all thread to cover up the threads. As you can see from the Holley 20-2 kit above there are different ball stud sizes. I think all the manufacturers used the same size though so the above mentioned D5TZ9747B will prolly work for you also. That D5TZ9747B is adjustable not a fixed length.
///Also buy from Miller obsolete the clip to mount it to the accelerator pedal bellcrank. Part number C7TZ9826A. ////////
I have been looking for the ball stud connector. You found them at ACE, did not think to look there...
I hooked up to the big hole, gas pedal is about 6" above the floor.
OFF to ACE...
I know I grew up in a different time but it still amazes me that some of you guys seem helpless if you can't just buy a part that fits. I've made dozens of those over the years. Go to any good hardware store and they have the ball stud ends with threads in them. If you don't like the looks of all-thread, then get a stick of round stock (also at the hardware store) cut to length and thread the ends. I even used aircraft cable and clamps on one for a quick fix in the field. 30 years later, it is still working fine.
I have no problem fabricating the throttle linkage. All of the Hardware and auto parts stores near me no longer stock the rod ends. I have parts on the way from Summit Racing. This is the throttle pedal end.

I have no problem fabricating either. There are just somethings I don't want to look all Fred Flintstone.
I mean this, if I'm going to have more time involved in making something than it would be to find or buy it, I'm buying it.
