There is an insulating mount that goes between the cross member and the transmission. Some catalogs list the transmission mount as the rear engine mount.

Did you flip the mount over to see if you just had the mount upside down? The mounting holes for the trans and the crossmember have different spacing.

You may just have the wrong mount as well.

The studs on the mount go into the cross member, and the bolt holes should line up with the transmission. One side of the mount should say "front", and should of course face front. If it is not legible try spinning the mount around.

Here's a picture I found.

Sorry it was a 2wd pic. I'll look for a 4x4 version.

Trans crossmember

It's like the crossmember is to far back needs to move up but I can't move it up cause the front drive shaft will hit it I need a spacer or something to drop the crossmember itself so I can move forward

Are you converting the truck from stick to auto(or the other way)? They have different crossmembers.

There should be a couple of set of holes for the trans mount to go.
You can also spin the crossmember around to use other holes

No its a auto staying a auto and on flipping the crossmember if I turn it around then the notched out part for the drive shaft will be on the wrong side

You can jack the trans all the way till it is pushing on the floor

The motor mounts have enough flexibility. Just watch you don't jam the fan into the shroud.
