Hey guys just put my 292 with what I belive is a t-98 4speed.
The front engine mount looks to be about perfect, but the Trans mount ears are about 6 inches short of the original cross member. Do I have to make or by a new cross member to mount the Trans in the truck it's a 1956 f100. Motor Trans is out of 1963 f100
Thanks
Dan
The 56 will have a single point mount in front. The rear clutch housing is the rear engine mounts. Pictures, measurements of your frame?
Edit: Just took a measurement on my 56 F350 and found about 32 1/2" from the front center mount to the driver side clutch housing mount bolt. I checked the clutch housing from an F100 and the the block mount surface to the engine mount is the same, about six inches.
Ray I will try and get pictures tonight when I get home .the front mount looks like it will work, but does the Trans mount with the side ears or one single mount in back
Yep that looks just like the original one off my 272...GLR how did you mount your engine/Trans in your 53. I plan on doing it in the 56. Did you buy the mounts for your Trans and did you use the original mounting holes in the front

Original mounts in the front. When I got it it had a crashbox 4 spd hooked to the 3 spd bellhousing with 3 1/2' "adapter plates". I installed a regular 4spd bellousing and T-98 using the original bellhousing "ear" mounts. If I was back in NY I could compare the bellhousings.
