I have a 93 F-150 xcab w/ a 5.0 in it. When idling and driving at low speeds it acts like it is not getting any gas and dies. When I get on the road and get to driving 30 and up, it runs fine.
HELP!!!!!!!!!
What should I start checking?
My '94 did the exact same thing. I replaced the fule filter and did a tune up on the engine (rotor bug, distributor cap, spark plugs, wires). My main problem was that my truck has over 230 thousand miles on it and had never been given a tune up, and the piece on top of the spark plug was non existant. It was a miracle it still ran. But I would start with the things I listed, it made mine run like new. I thought it would cut out everytime I tried to give it gas until I got a new engine, but now it runs like a champ..
I stopped by Autozone and the guy hooked up a code reader and this is what came up.
Code: 172 = HEGO sensor low voltage
Code: 327 = Egr valve low voltage
Code: 122 = TPS sensor low voltage
Is the a code book on here so I can verify what the Autozone guy told me?
Also, What would cause low voltage? Are the sensor's going out? Or is it the altenator?
