Accelerator Linkage

well, now that it's running I think it's time to take off the makeshift pedal that the '50 F2 came with and hookup the original one.

I have the accelerator pedal (actually 2) but I'm searching for the original linkages, brakets for inside the cab

als it looks like the previous owner filled in the hole where the pedal mounts to the floor so I can't tell exactly where it went

anyone know where I can find the linkage?? I checked macs, johns f fun hundreds and a few more and I can't find the pedal linkage

again this site is great and all help is greatly appreciated

I don't think there are any aftermarket places that would sell aftermarket or new linkage's but you could probably find what you need used maybe in hemmings or on ebay.

I have the linkage from my 54. If I go with a cable setup maybe I can sell it to ya, if it's the same. I'll let you know later on.

thanks Joners but I may not have been clear on what I'm looking for (after re-reading my original post) I just want to make sure we're talking about the same parts

I'm looking for the bracket and arm bolted to the floorboard that the the pedal hits when you step on it, not the linkages from there to the carb

You want the accelerator linkage that has the spring and ball under foot pedal.

Nathan, I think that's what I need.

when I got the truck it had a pedal off an old mustang on it, I have no idea what the original is supposed to look like

Accelerator Linkage

THe linkage is one assyThat bolts on the firewall and one end has a ball for the acc rod to pop onto and the other end has a coil spring attached to the end with a ball stud on it. THat end protrudes thru the floor and the pedal pops onto the ball stud. The pedal is bolted to the tranny floor cover right before the bend upward on the tranny floor cover There's a rubber boot and retainer that seals off the floor there.
