Spark Plug Looms

I'm putting my rebuilt 1949 239 Flathead back together and looking for help with the spark plug wires. I'd like to tidy up the look with wiring looms. Speedway sells (#91612002) stainless steel looms for 49 through 53 but then states they won't work without modifications with the 49 oil fill/vent tube. They don't explain what the modifications are but the downdraft tube is definitely in the way. Has anyone used these looms successfully on their 49?

I don't know why they say that either but it looks like you do have to remove the ends to fish the wires through the tubes? Are your wires long enough to use those?

I used there red anodized aluminum wire keepers instead as they give you a bit more flexibility.

Thanks for the reply. The wires are new. I bought a set to match the Pertronix Ignition. I can cut to proper length. I like the looks of yours.
