Which VentVisor?

Purchased a new 2017 F250 Lariat and cannot decide which ventvisor to purchase. I have always used tape on and have never had a problem. I like the way the in-channel look but have heard: they can scratch your glass, they can come out while driving and can mess with automatic windows. what is your thoughts?

Never had a problem with Weathertech in-channel vent visors but I'm going with AVS stick ons this time.

I went back and forth on this and ended up getting the Ford stick on ones. My last truck had the Weather Tech in channel ones, they were okay but I felt like the window had a hard time going all the way up sometimes.

Also, my front windows are tinted to the top of the glass, I didn't want to deal with a potential issue of the tint peeling or whatever.

I posted in this thread the ultra slim stick ons. They are the same as the F150s. No issue with windows hitting them and they don't stick out like the big stick ons.

I have the AVS stick on's. Nice low profile and they look great. Less than $60 on Amazon with Prime.

These are for crew cab.

I have had this same question. I have been debating between these 2 types of ventvisors myself. I was initially stuck on the outside mounting ones but my concern with them was wondering if they would pop off. Some of them look really flimsy and I've had to reglue my rear-view mirror that has popped off from heat. And so, with the outside mounting ones are typically glue on as well...so would the heat cause the same thing or the wind pop them off? I decided to go with the in-channel mounting ones because I had heard more positive benefits (waiting on delivery any day now). But then, I started reading problems with them affecting the mechanical aspects of the window motors because the windows would bump into the visors when they roll up. So, at this point, we'll see. If I begin to notice any problems from the beginning, I'll just remove them so they don't mess up mine. I do love the ability to crack your windows and allow fresh air in during the rain...I just LOVE the smell!!!!

Personally, I don’t “stick” stuff on my vehicles. I use the channel mounts because they look stock. I use either Lund or AVS. Neither have ever given me an issue.
I just mounted a set of AVS channels in my wife's new expedition. Very clean looking...

Thanks for the tip. Was going to order for the new arrival anyway but this just made me do it now. Clicked the coupon and got them for $53 after tax added.
Never a problem with stick ones for me. No luck at all with in channel type. So I stayed with what I know.
As an FYI, pretty sure that Lund and AVS are one and the same.

I initially bought the in channel visors, but had to take them off after a couple of days. My power windows would absolutely not work with those. No matter how much I adjusted, they would go up and then come right back down after hitting the visors. Went with the low profile stick on ones and love them.

Same issue that I had the one time I tried them. Even let them sit 24 hours in summer weather without putting the windows down. Next day, same result.
I've found the stick ons work so well that they've never come off in dozens of car washes. One time when I traded a truck I thought I'd peel them off to use on the new truck. Nope. Slow, steady pressure still broke the thing. So now I just let them go with the trade and spend the extra $50-60 on new ones for the new truck.

Yeah...this is what my back up plan is. If I begin to have any trouble at all with my windows, to go with the outside mounting ones. I would rather switch then mess up my window motors.
