I prefer the factory style for $10 less. The factory ones stick on the outside. They may not look as "slick", but you don't have to worry about the glass hanging up on the edge of the vent visor that is inside the weather strip.
I am using these and love them. I do not have any issues with the glass hanging up on them.
Did you get any additional wind noise? I used these on my old GMC and got a bit of noise. wondering if the window and channel is different on the new SD's and will not cause added noise.

I will never use in the weather stripping vent again. I had stick on ones on my 09 F150 and never had issues what so ever. My 13 F150 had the in the weather stripping ones. They were nothing but trouble. Auto close of window would drop the window due to thinking it was blocked before full closure. Sand and grit got in there and over time scratched the edge of the window. They are secure and will not fly out but they do start to drop an 1/8" or so over time due to the weather stripping being compressed because there is addition width with the vent in the gap designed for just a window.
I have not put them on my F250 yet - only installed the AVS Bug Deflector II on the hood.
I ended up not using them as much as I though on my past trucks so for now no window vents but if I do get them they will be the stick on ones.
I know this is a bit of necro thread, but figured I'd post here instead of creating a new thread.
I recently installed a set of smoke-tinted window deflectors, but honestly, they're just a huge distraction for me. I feel like I need to crane my neck to look out of the driver's window, to peer underneath the dang deflector. Also, it blocks my view between the mirror and A-pillar, which I also don't like.
They're coming off this evening. Seems like a lot of folks like them, but guess I'm in the minority...
In the Georgia summer heat these are a life saver. Let a little air in the cab when parked and keeps the inevitable afternoon thunderstorm from soaking the interior. I do get a little more wind noise. No issues with car washes. I have Wade in-channel deflectors and once in a while the front passenger window has an issue. But not too often.
So yeah I'm all in with the concept of deflectors, but you'll have to suit yourself as to which ones.
I've used AVS stick on vent shades for 30 years & have never had an issue with them coming off or anything, love them. I tried the in-channel type one time & had problems. I put the AVS shades on all my cars & trucks.
They interfered with the auto close when I went to out the windows up and then when you hit the button to force them up you could hear that it was making the weatherstrip too tight of a slot for the window.
would never buy again but I’ve been thinking of getting the ones that use 3M style adhesive strips now that I have a black truck and they’d probably blend in pretty well on this one
always had red trucks before this and didn’t like how they looked on other lighter colored vehicles.
I bought these January of 22, but in that Spring when Temps got warm, no issue.
Trick is to put it in HOT SUN and not open the window for a week. I left it for 2 weeks I think.
Not an issue and only $70 now, was $60 when I bought mine
I have the Weathertech in channel deflectors and am not impressed. First set broke upon installation, replacement set works fine on driver's side but passenger side will stop window before it closes and sends it back down. Have to stop it with just enough pressure, then lean over and push deflector out.
Pretty disappointed in them, everything else I've got from Weathertech has been good quality.
They are pretty good, the material is very flexible and you feel that you cannot break them during installation. They came with a couple of metal clips to insert in the channel in order to keep the deflector from interfering with the glass, seems to be working as claimed.
My truck lives outside, and with the summer heat it really makes a huge difference leaving all four windows slightly open…
