Hey guys. Based on the info in this forum and threads going back years!, I'll be doing the EFI manifold swap and Walker downpipe on my 1984 F150. I'm also going to put a 4v carb on top of the Offenhauser DP intake (which will hopefully ship in May). I'm getting the heating plate from hollisterroad.com.
So super newb question: where do I pull the coolant to run through the heating plate?! Is there a hose I just cut and attach?
You can just tap it into the heater hose return line as I believe that year has a constant circulation heater core. Between the heater and the water pump.
My water pump has a spot or two for a fitting, as well as the the thermostat housing. If yours has them you can get the fittings and some hose. If not the heater hose works as said above.

if you have a supply to the heater and this other one you talk of where do you put the return?
Before you mount the intake test fit that plate on to the bottom.
I found on my stock intake where they welded to tubes on the inside fell right where a divider was and would have never sealed.
I took a grinder to the divider so the plate would sit flat.
I am going to use the heater supply hose. Pump to plate> plate> to heater> Heater to where it should go. I don't remember where at this time and the truck is apart at this time.

If he wants to use his heater hose, he could probably cut the hose, add "T" fitting of some sort, and run the return to the thermostat housing I suppose.
How my clifford is hooked up, one end into the thermostat housing and the other into the pump. I needed to buy the barbed fitting for it, I believe they were 3/8 NPT. I think it's much easier than messing with the heater hose. I circled the connections on mine.
