TCM with programmer removed
Hi Everyone, I have a tuner and TCM relationship question. The truck I'm working on had the H&S tuner removed before I bought it. I have been fixing various items, mainly all the known failure points. I am now trying to resolve the U0101 code. It has been present since I backed it off the trailer. Reverse is fine, put in drive and it gets stuck in a high gear, selection display on dash does not give indication so I have to count. Truck has new batteries, but do know that it sat for months with dead ones.
I am not looking for a hot truck, and so went with the Gearboxz DPF-R+ delete programmer, truck was already physically deleted with the H&S tuner. After doing some research, the U0101 code might have been thrown when the H&S was removed ?? Now the TCM will need to re-learn the shiftpoints ?? Maybe the TCM is fried now ? Is this a dealership only fix ?
I removed the TCM and all pins are clean. My next step is looking for voltage and CAN continuity, but have had serious trouble locating a TCM wiring diagram.

I have found what pins on the TCM connector are power and grounds, so will plan to check those in the coming day. I did disconnect the (2) connectors by the driver's side wheel well and all is clean.
If I acquire a new TCM, will the truck need to go to dealership to be reflashed properly?
