2016 Door Molding

So what's up with my door molding? Why is it turning yellow/brown/gold whatever color this is? Is this a paint failure or is the hot Oklahoma sun cooking the plastic to the point of failure? This is only visible on the passenger side which faces south while parked in the driveway.

Had the same thing happen to a chevy I owned... Sun just baked the **** out of it. I ended up taking it off.
