What a great day out there today. Looks like that might change tomorrow though.
So I have been in contact with the guy who had my old 7.3 that got wrecked last weekend. It got totalled out of course and they decided not to buy it back but asked if I was interested. The price was real good so I bought it back. The plan is to fix it and sell it at some point. I am not in a big hurry to get it fixed. Just work on it when I have time. It took a good hit as you can see from the pictures below. The front axle is over to the drivers side by a good eight inches I would say. Going to need to replace the front frame section.
That's great Troy...
Many times they get hurt in collisions like that.

I ran into something wierd this afternoon with Jake's Durango. There were a bunch of rust bubbles in the paint on the left rear quarter. So, figuring I would just see how bad it was and if the rust went all the way through, I grabbed a small screwdriver and went to tap on the bubble. Suddenly I am squirted with water! The bubbles (most of them) are not rusty at all. Evidently, a bodyshop painted this thing when it was wet!
That's bare steel - evidently no air in the bubble or it would be rusty...
Maybe cleaning up the body of this truck won't be as bad as I thought!

That head on picture really shows how bad. Hurt the A pillars any? Good looks pushed up into it
Good morning fellas
I hope this time youre wrong.. the bubbles were full of water and the metal appears to be solid. I'll take a better look today..
Have a good Sunday fellas!
Good evening guys. Spent the better part of the day cleaning up the crawl space and the garage. Pooped.
Hope everyone had a great Saturday. Tomorrow sounds bad.
Busy day for you and you even pooped! You must have been exhausted!

I am guessing that was the first stage of rust starting or something. Wasn't painted when wet. Paint and water don't mix well. Paint wouldn't have trapped the water like that.

Nope the A pillars are just fine. Doors open and close perfectly. Actually there is only a scuff in the drivers door other wise no damage to the doors at all.

Randy, usually that is the beginning of rust coming through from the back but hopefully I am wrong.

Good morning Randy!
Even if it is rust starting. It was caught early enough it will be a much easier fix.
