We removed the 16 foot blade we just put on a D8 to test it out this morning, thank goodness that tractor is done and shipping out. Doing new machine in processing on, a lot less work!!
Hopefully I got the rear tank fixed. The return line fitting came off in my hand. Pressure tested it founder leaks around the sending unit gasket. Replaced it still had a few bubbles so I sealed around it with rtv. Cut a piece of rubber hose and two clamps for the return line. At least it will be easy to get to now. Cut holes in the bed and put a plate over over the holes.
spent all day today at the land spreading asphalt millings
That D8 was a pipeline build and we also added a 20 ton winch to the back. It's one big mother. I guess the mom in-law is moving into her house today. I have to move her bedroom stuff to her house, do some backyard clean up and then measure out for a privacy fence she wants put up.
I was able to wet vac out the water in the basement and mow the grass yesterday so I am a little ahead on weekend chores.
Hugh, you can rent it from Chief when it comes time for your fence. Chief will busy putting up new fences to separate the pastures as the herd will continue to grow.
Bob
I pass on the 2hp post hOle digger. If I can not get to with the tractor and the 3 point porthole digger I put a tpost in spot. To fence all 8.65 acres will be about 5000 ft
Another long day has finally come to an end. I ended up just digging the holes with my manual post hole digger. Only one had some roots but my back and shoulders are sore. All in all it wasn't too bad considering it could have been rocky like my yard. Only a few little things to wrap up tomorrow morning and I should be done for a while.
Mom is moved in and her privacy fence is up!!! Now maybe I can get caught up on stuff around here that has been put on the back burner trying to finisher her up.
Don't you mean go back to work to get some rest. Cut, and trimmed the MOL's yard this morning, then mine this evening. At least I get back on the regular weekend schedule after three Saturdays in a row. Get back to work on the footings for the new carport for the truck next weekend.
