Center Console phone cable??

Center Console phone cable??
Had my job 2 F-250 Lariat a few days now, so far so good.
Doesn't seem to be a good way of getting the phone cable out of the USB compartment AND leaving the door closed?
Thought of drilling a hole through the cup holder, putting just a slot in the rubber covering as to make it less noticeable.
Anyone have a better idea?
Looks like the F-150 with the console has the same console and issue.

Ford nicely put 2 cable holes just under the lid of the main center console...but not in the bin where the USB ports are. Easiest solution is to purchase a cheap 12V to dual USB port unit from Amazon. Install the charger into one of the two 12v outlets in the console and snake the cable out the hole to your phone.

What about adding something like this? Would take a bit of initial messing around, but then you could have the USB plug anywhere you want, and still be able to connect to the SYNC system if you plugged the mail end into one of the lower front USB connections?
