How to remove this antenna

77&79 - small correction - if you remove that Phillips head screw which holds the split-ball antenna mast to the base, you will find a second Phillips head which holds the base to the under-fender retainer. No need to turn the base, just remove that screw.

Ha ha, that screw head was stolen long ago by a Mr. Rust, but no biggie, vice grips did the trick.

Yes you are correct HD thanks for covering that, I was starting to strip the ball mast phillips screw, so I just put upward pressure on it and gave it a turn and got it to loosen up that way.

No fear in scratching the paint........ that applied with a roller.
