7.3 Codes ... WHAT DO THEY MEAN?
P0541 - Intake Air Heater a Circuit Low ... Id assume this code popped up due to me doing an Intake heater delete plug.
These 2 have my most concern:
P0269 - Cylinder 3 Contribution/Balance Fault
P0284 - Cylinder 8 Contribution/Balance Fault
What do these mean !?!?!? What is wrong with my cylinder 3 and 8?
Then I had these 3:
P1536 - Parking Break Switch Circuit ... My parking break is very weak, how do i fix this issue?
C1145 and C1230 - Front and Rear Speed Sensor input ... Id assumme this may be my issue for the ABS light. How do I fix it?
Any information especially on the 3 and 8 cylinder faults would be MUCH appreciated .... THANKS GUYS !!!
As to the AIH code, you are correct, if it has been deleted, and there has been no resistor placed in there to "fool" the system then it will appear.
The contribution fails are more than likely from running the grey CPS, 3 & 8 are usually the ones that fail on this CPS.
As to the speed sensors, they could be going bad, but if I understand correctly there should be other issues surfacing if they are bad. It will be interesting to see what codes reappear, we will have a better idea where to start looking.
The ABS light could be down to a bad speed sensor, but if your truck is like mine (also an 02) then there are also ABS sensors on the front hubs, you may want to make sure these are plugged in properly because these will throw the light on too.....

Take a look at Riff Raff Diesel, they have exactly what you need and are an excellent vendor to work with. Just try and spend as little time as possible in there though, otherwise your basket will be full and you will be wondering how on earth it happened (and which kid you are going to sell to pay for it!).
