Knocking 429.....
Knocking 429.....
I just acquired a 1980 F250, rustfree, in good shape, other than the 1972 429 police interceptor under the hood is knocking. My question is I plan on rebuilding this engine and outting it in my 80 Bronco which currently has a 351M. Now correct me if I am wrong, but the 429 will bolt right up to the 351M tranny, etc. correct? Aren't the motor moints, perches, etc. the same as well? Would any modifications at all even need to be made? Thanks in advance. All feedback is welcome.
it will bolt up to the automatic trans with no problems, standard is a little different story but will still bolt up.. motor mounts are not the same but you have everything you need with the donor vehicle so it should be fairly simple to install.
