I have been told that the early 429 blocks were driled diferently
where the motor mounts bolt up than the later 460s.
Is this true? I plan on taking the 351m out of my 80 f150 4by4
and puting this engine in. Thanks

as far as i know all of the 429/460's have the mount holes in the same place. it is possible that they might be a different size of hole though.

I just recently pulled a 1968 429 out of a thunderbird and put it in a 1986 ford f250 chassis. I found that you will need any 80's style 460 mounts from a truck to make this work. The original car 429 mounts do not. They do not work with your cross member in your truck. Check your local bone yard or order them from ford. Good luck. Frale
