goin through the wall...

thinking about wiring and the path from the fuse panel thru the firewall... I've done away with the stock grommet place and still on that "keep the firewall clear" kick... show me some examples of where you exited the cab toward the front (and the back, for that matter)

gonna use one of these hickey-things I think...

but where to locate it... show me what you got !

The absolute cleanest route is to drop down behind the kick panel and come out through the inside of the cab corner. There are a number of flex fittings that work perfectly for sealing the flex conduit. Once the cabling is inside the engine bay you can be creative about how you run it from there. Sorry, no pics.

In the right area but on the inside instead of the forward side. It will come out just forward of the cab mount wing. The conduit can be then clamped to the wing and routed along the frame or anywhere else that fits your design.

As an added note...you could save yourself a ton of work if you use structural adhesive on those blanking panels on your firewall. No heat, no warpage, no weld bead grinding. And as an added benefit, you can use any metal you like...steel, aluminum, copper, whatever you got laying around the shop. This whole firewall is held in place with structural adhesive...

Behind the kick panel on the passenger side, run them along the inner fender and then bring them into the engine compartment right at the A/C compressor mounting position. I have used the V/A Frontrunner accessory package on my last two builds and it routes the A/C lines out right below the alternator on the passenger side of the engine. Keeps things real tidy.
