Greetings! I have a 2005 F-250 6.0 Powerstroke. I have been searching online and haven't been able to find out my answer.
My washer fluid pump is not working, it was a few weeks ago but now it is broken. The Owner's Manual only has the listing fuse 33 for "cluster, 4x4, wipers". It looks like some of the older models have an actual fuse for the "washer fluid pump". I checked fuse 33 under the dash and it is ok. What fuse controls the washer fluid pump?
The pump does not make noise when activated, so I'm starting at the fuse but I don't know what the hell is going on.
I checked fuse 33 under the dash and it is good. I also just took a peek at 01-30A Wipers under the hood and it looks fine, it doesn't look burnt up or anything. This is why I'm confused?
Hahaha. No kidding. It’s pissing me off. That’s what I thought though. I need to trace the wiring for the pump and see if it is something there. Jiggle all the wiring and it will probably work.
I dealt with this exact problem on my 04 this winter. It seems the pump is controlled through the wiper motor, that is why I could not find a fuse either. Disassembled the wiper motor cleaned the contacts has worked flawlessly ever since. This may or may not be your issue.
Yes, but it was more, I also removed the motor and the plastic cover off the motor to check the electronic board cleaned abit and reassembled. And it worked for me.
UPDATE! Replaced the wind shield washer pump and found a clogged line that was causing the issue. FIXED. CASE CLOSED.
So was the clog inside your pump so you did need a new pump afterall? Or was clog elsewhere and you could have cleared clog and not needed a new pump?
My pump does not make any noise either when I activate it, so just a clogged line could prevent pump making any noise?
