washer pump quit 02 explorer

washer pump quit. no sound of pump running when button is pushed.
i cannot find a listing for a fuse in the owners manual, is there one? relay?
where is the pump? in the fluid tank? if so, can the pump be replaced without removing the tank?
so many questions, i know. this is just a real bad time for this to go belly up.
any input would be appreciated.
thank you,
bruce
i wish i could tell you why, but the darn thing started working again. i think that the observation about diluted washer fluid is probably correct. it got really cold here in minnesota last week, but is now back up in the 20's. i will probably top off my washer fluid before i get the oil changed from now on.
i never did find a fuse for the washer pump. i suppose it is combined with one of the wiper moters. the next time i feel like laying on the cold concrete, i'll go pull the wiper fuse and see what happens. who was it that decided that the fuse block should be mounted in a location that also requires a trip to the chiropractor? what where they they thinking?
thanks again,
bruce
