Hi friends, I'm new to this site, so forgive me if I posted to the wrong area. I'm having a turn signal issue and don't know how to diagnose it. First of all the left turn signal will not flash on the inside or outside of the truck, but if you turn the emergency flashers on they will flash inside and out. I'm by no means a mechanic of any level, I can hear some of you laughing at me now, its ok, I deserve it. Can anyone please point me in the right direction on where to start so I can fix this issue....is it bulbs, or wiring or what?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
First off Welcome to the FTE.
I'd start by saying to check the left side bulbs, both front and rear. Usually if a bulb burns out, that's what will happen, they will light up, but not flash. That's most likely your issue.
And it is nice to know what you are working on. So tell us about your truck, year, trim level like XLT, Lariat, Platinum and so on. And the cab regular cab, Super Cab, or Crew Cab, 4x2 or 4x4, what engine, and so on.
