Ive got a slight surge thats very noticable cold and not so much after warmed,i can hear the turbo surging and feel a slight power increase on and off, cked with forscan the normal values, alls inline, i did not ck fuel pressure yet but will, i noticed vgt, boost fluctuates when this happens, icp ipr readings inline, this is a 04 with throtle plate inside the air elbow area, can this cause a surge and how to test this,im not familier with this setup as my 05 does not have it.
yea all three main at 14.4/14.6/14.2, took the ebp apart cleaned tube and sensor, new map sensor and cleaned brass hose end out, replaced hose, the oil temp sensor is bad but oil/water within 3 degrees each other. Got the blue spring kit today so test pressures tmrow. Used forscan to command vgt, ipr, egr to there max one at a time to see if all reacts as should. You know anything about these throtle plate deals on the 04.
83 views and nobody here knows anything about that throttle plate deal on a 04 ,wheres all our reg guys used to be on this site, we all used to help but looks like its changing here fast
Remove the butterfly flap attached the the shaft. That way it doesn't set a code or interfere with operations, it will think it's working fine... while in fact it won't be able to close off airflow.
Then try unplugging the ICP and driving a bit. It will set a code, clear it when done. Check the plug for oil intrusion, loose wires and that the small retainer is installed into the clip to help separated the pins... see if that helps.
