Stalled no start
I was towing a trailer about 600 miles truck was running great, pulled in for fuel and truck was running rough, refueled and was on my way then when going down a hill (Idle) it just quit, had to tow remaining 200 miles.
After reading the forums I replaced the ICR (ICR screen was damaged) Truck now starts but its very loud and missing like crazy. and surges if i give it a little gas. codes 0268, 0281, 2284, 2288 I also replaced the ICP.
Any Ideas?
should I replace the injectors? what causes this?
Be sure batteries are up to par by load testing them and make sure all connections are clean and tight. Including the grounds. Poltergeist emerges if the battery health is poor. Can you hear the fuel pump when you key on? Next would be to verify fuel pressure at the secondary fuel filter.
I wonder if you don't have a short in an injector coil and your 5 volt reference circuit is being affected. Injector #3 is the one with the code for "short to ground".
Post vreference voltage.
about 10,000 on the filters
batterys are good, I made sure all the posts were clean.
i'll recheck the FICM connections

Re-connected all the FICM connections and ICR and now truck won't start at all, it does try to start sounds like only two cylendars. only code now is the short on cylinder 3.
Truck wont run so im not sure if it fixed the 2284, 2288 codes.
No I did not replace the ICP pigtail looked good no oil.
I'll try again in the morning when the batteries are charged.
Thanks for everyone's help

It may be called "calibration voltage reference input"

Passes the buz test with exception to #3.
? If the ground wire on the Injector wiring harness went bad would that cause the problem?
After about a healthy black market kidney amount of work at a shop, was having the no start issue. We thought the FICM was bad, or just wasn't staying plugged well. Got it started, thought it would be ok, but it happened again, so he pulled the FICM off, worked with it all, put it back on, got the readings perfect, put the Turbo and whatever back on, it wouldn't start at all.
Took it all off again, got it all right, tried leaving it running while he put some of the stuff back on, it died. So he did it all again, he has a lot of patience this guy, and during that process it started, and sounded absolutely horrible, I thought it was done for.
He thought maybe limp mode or one side not firing, and decided then for sure that it was electrical somewhere. Kept plugging and unplugging to figure out wires in the harness, or the fuse box ,and then noticed that although that relay was sitting in there properly it was not seated right, the socket was bent.
He bent it back put the relay back and got it home.
Also, from reading and reading about this kind of problem I noticed that there is an emergency fuel shutoff switch, passenger door panel somewhere, and if something tore your screen that could be a big deal.

Replaced injectors 3/5/7 Three had short, 5/7 has contribution errors.
Also replaced the injector wire harness, I was rough looking and the ground wire was frayed.
truck runs better but still have contribution code(P0281) calendar 7
Passes buz test I can hear all 8 buz now.
Also still getting P2284 code? Desired and actual are the same according to my AE.
Reference voltage is 4.98
Any Ideas?
