Can someone tell me where I,ll find the sensor for the engine oil temp? I have a 1995 f350 powerstroke diesel . Guys talk about it but I don,t know where it is. I know the PCM uses it for lots of adjustments. I would like to check it out. Any advice for checking also? Thanks Friskyjake
(I thought the sensor on top of the reservoir was for oil pressure. I,m looking for oil temperature sensor or am I wrong in my assumption Thankyou Friskyjake
OK guys I found it. Thanks to all , I,m a old dummy {82} & I ordered this truck from ford In Nov. 1994. Got it @ the end of March 1995. It,s been a good truck . Is there a voltage check for this sensor? I like to know what my engine oil temp is when the truck has been driven hard or ? I have a 9 ft. slide in camper that never comes off of the truck so I,m curious . I have all other gauges [oil pressure ,trans temp ,egt, boost, water temp]. Thanks again for the advice, Friskyjake
Get an Aeroforce Interceptor, and you can read oil temp, tranny temp (without a second sensor), boost, and a slew of other things. Pretty much everything the PCM can see. Displays two items at a time. You can also piggyback them, and connect analog sensors for things like EGT.
