I seem to recall that 2002 and up had the clear lenses.

Went with the el cheapos, 2002 models came with the bulbs. In hind site I didn't even pull the new bulbs to see what they were but a marked improvement over the stockers. Not eye popping bright but for $50.00 delivered the next day with the bulbs... They will be just fine thanks.ñ

I just installed the 2002-year TYC brand Rock Auto headlights last week in my '01, and they came with new Sylvania bulbs (stock wattage) installed. Installing them in the truck was a 10 minute job that took 2 hours, due to those idiotic clips that Ford used. I also ended up pulling both batteries (individually) to gain access to the lower headlight clip.

I'm satisfied with the results. The headlights are not stupendous, but they are brighter and shine wider than before. Late night driving in canyons is now less stressful and safer. Total cost from Rock Auto including 2 day shipping was $70.

I bought these https://www.ebay.com/itm/99-04-F250-...53.m2749.l2649. They took some time to install. I also added LED bulbs in them as well. The lows are ok, but do much better over the stock lights. The brights are super bright. I will post some pictures here soon. I was able to get them lined up well without having a horrible gap between the fender and light. Though seeing those retro fit lights I may end up going that route down the road if these don't workout well after I lift my truck.

Here's the headlights Might not be everyone's taste but I'm ok with it for now till I pony up some big money for retrofits.

You’re not going to beat the Trucklites for price, brightness and excellent cut off.

Just got back from a 3000 mile loop cross country. I bought the Rock Auto El Chepos and was suprised just how well they worked. For a half night blind old gummer they worked just fine! Bright enough to Spot the “Dare ya Dears” along side of the road and no one blinking their brites at me to dim. And they look really nice as well. Id get them again if needed. I also put a new set on the PT Cruiser with a great improvement in looks and vision. What ever its worth?

Looks like mine but from a different company. Mine are good but only one downfall to them is you can't adjust the projector lens by itself. You have to adjust the whole headlight which sucks. Doing that can leave uneven gaps between the body and headlight. So right now I feel they are a little high when on (using HID 6000k bulbs) but I've never had anyone high beam me in oncoming traffic in the 3 months I've had them. I tried led bulbs in the projector but did not like them. So I went with the HIDs..

Again another tbread with a wealth of knowledge! Thanks everyone. Another project added to the “list”.
l,m leaning to 04 bulb housings, new bulbs and new harnessing.
Question: Do the new aftermarket harness connect to same place old harness use to? Or do you have find a new battery connection?

And this is why I am still here after all these years.
I was wondering the same about the harness. I looked at RockAuto and for headlight and turn/park it is about $80 delivered. But I have seen what just upgrading bulbs can do to a harness, (ask my wife how I know &#128526...so would like to upgrade the harness before a problem happens.

Opinions are like *******s but I think all aftermarket housings look juvenile and cheap. They make me associate the truck with the Honda Civic ricer crowd... "halos", "angel eyes", projectors, etc... 2 Fast 2 Furious Bro!!

I also got new OEM housings and the light throw was improved 100x. Polishing them is a step in the right direction but nothing works like hew housings.

Rock Auto had the housings, with bulbs, for stupid cheap.. like $20 each or something.
