curious if anyone has any input on what could be causing a dull clunk on the pass side under the floor board,
I have replaced-
Ball Joints all 4 with XRF
All new MOOG tie-rod ends
replaced wheel bearings, plenty of grease
new spicer u-joints up front
ENERGY suspension track bar bushings
energy suspension leafspring and shackle bushings
all within the last 3 weeks.
any help would be appreciated, all the parts were worn and due to be replaced, so it wasn't a waste, but i was under the impression that the clunk would be resolved.
all the shackles are in great shape, no cracks, nothing is busted, cross member was tack welded years ago to prevent the obs creaking noise
You sure it's the axle? Could be a motor mount and the exhaust is hitting the crossmember. Just an idea.
i will go check,
im not saying it is any one thing, ive replaced everything because it was time, the drivability was in the toilet. i just had the exhaust re-done, flanges on the cat and flanges on the y-pipe to swap a straight 3" tube in for straight exhaust, everything feels solid. i was just under it checking it out and all the exhaust mounts are brand new and solid.
im only assuming the axle because anytime the suspension cycles i hear the clunk.
no i removed it when i first bought the truck 7 years ago

whenever i hit any sharp elevation change in the road, pot holes, dirt roads, road joints, anywhere in arizona
cab mounts are next, i know my pass rear is shot, i have come down with a case of cab sag.... but i notice that most if the frame flexes alot itll pop on me.

no, not so much a tie-rod pop , it more of a dull clunk that sounds like frame on shackle contact.
