I almost titled the thread "Interior restoration" but I realized that restoration is totally different animal. In 2006 I tore out my carpet and saw my driveway below, Fred Flintstone immediately came to mind. So I bought new floor pans and cleaned things up in general. After riveting the new floor plans in I realized I didn't want to go back to carpet because it holds too much moisture for the way I used the truck.
I called a local guy who did rustproofing, and "Trik Truck" custom work, and asked if he would spray the interior of my truck and he thought I was nuts! When I went to pick up the truck he grinned when I walked in the door, he told me he laughed at me until the truck was done ...... he already had four more orders to do it to other trucks........it started a new business line for him. I then found a guy who did custom diamond plate aluminum work. Below is the result.
Glare has never been an issue, the diamond plate on the dash angles down enough that I have never had a single glare.
Good to hear, have been thinking about doing something like this when I get around to the interior. How much of the interior had to come out for them to spray?

I just took my seat out which was 10 minutes, I drove it there sitting on a 5 gallon bucket. I had him spray up to the shoulder harness shroud. I wish I had had him spray the inside of the doors to deaden sound. Now he uses a high pressure system which would make close work like the windows and regulator a tough job.
If you are interested in the custom diamond plate work, I can see if the guy is still in business. He simply had me make templates, mail them to him, and a few days later he would send me the diamond plate.

If he's still in business I would appreciate you reaching out to him.
As far as the liner I was thinking, floor pans and rear interior of cab up to the windows. I keep a 5 gallon jerry can and a battery jumper behind the seat (great items to keep right next to each other) and the jerry can chips at the paint.

Looks like he is still going strong, here is his website.
