Been a member for a while have had a 2011 F150 pictures in garage and on going project pics also in garage. But I just joined the superduty world. Last July bought my dream a 2016 F350 FX4 crew cab dually with the 6.7 diesel. Looking to add some mudflaps and additional lights under rear bumper pointing back nighttime trailer hook up and front lights for field driving. Recommendations for above mentioned accessories and rims pictures would be a great thanks all.
Rims will be next
I am sure the fellas here will have some ideas for your rig and some pics of theirs to give some ideas. Nice dually I am sure you will enjoy the power and torques it has and the ease that the 6.7 can pull with.
Nice wheels....I put the steels on mine a few months ago....took the aluminums off...I put on the Ford flat splash guards....i ordered the truck with the Ford molded ones similar to the no drill weather techs...i removed them as they were rubbing the paint off under one side....some on here like the duraflaps....i like the Ford...
Yea buddy, love the duallys, I bought my dream truck last June but I ordered it with the "High Capacity Trailer Tow" option which is basically an F450 front axle minus the larger brakes. I couldn't stand the little 17" wheels and tires so I bought American Eagle 20" wheels and Michelin Defender 275-65-20 tires. Now it kind of looks like an F450. The wheels were only $225 each and the tires were $261 each but I sold the stock set for $1500 whicj helped offset the cost somewhat.
I also changed the crappy stock shocks to Bilstein 4600 which made a big difference in how it rode. I see you have the FX4 option which touts the Rancho shocks which what I heard are just rebranded stockers. As far as mudflaps, I went with Duraflap but I'm sure the Ford flaps will work just fine. Here's a few pics of the wheels......enjoy the truck.
Welcome to the big boy club, nice truck. I bet a nice set of the stock alloy wheels would go a long way on that. I wouldn't go to overboard on the wheels, jmho.
