New to the forum and did a search but didn't come up with what I was looking for. I have a '16 Lariat w/ 2.7 EB which I do some towing with. It serves me well but would like more torque when I hit the hills.
Has anyone used a tuner on a 2.7 with good results that they could recommend? Any recommendations with tuning? I never used a tuner before - are they worth the $$$? I currently have dual exhaust and a K&N replacement air filter. Thank you!
5 Star Tuning. They are a sponsor here and specialize in Ford tuning that wont set off all your check engine codes. Customer service is great. Used them for my V10 and plan on using them for my 3.5 EB. One good thing is that with a tuner you will have the option to disable the auto start/stop if you want.
You will get more out of the mods you've made with a tuner as well. Just let them know what mods you've made and they will make you a custom tune, versus one that comes out of the box pre tuned for stock trucks.

I went with livernois with my 3.5 EB. It's not fancy you can't change on the go which I miss with the tuner I had on my 7.3 diesel but just the programmer and k&n filter made a huge difference in performance. I dunno what the new Lexus has in it but it couldn't keep up with my truck on the interstate. I've also had no lights or issues with this tuner and it's been running since last September. Also as far as helping with towing it added a little more power and mpgs but all I'm pulling is a 6x12 trailer and golf cart.
