Superchips Tuner Or Hypertech Tuner?

I have narrowed it down to these 2 products, and yes price is an issue. My truck has straight exhaust but thats it and no gauges,, not looking to drag race just a nice boost of HP and TQ and most of all better fuel mileage. I know this has probably been covered before, but after a search of those threads i was even more confused. Also found a 1705 tuner new in the box but the older 60-80-110hp program,is that any better than the newer 70-90-110 Superchip tuner? is the superchip tuner any better than the hypertech?or just more HP, what is the best for my application?Dont want any issues from excessive exhaust heat or anything. I'll let ya'll respond for about 24hrs and then come Friday afternoon i will place my order and we can let this thread die with the rest of them,, Thanx for the help guys...

If this helps, i havent noticed any gain in MPG with my Superchips. Not sure about the hypertech though. My superchips added a noticable gain in performance, like you said, nothing to drag race with, but a good gain none the less.

I had a Superchips tuner before I got my flip chip and I didn't see any gain in milage either. I have not heard anything about the Hypertech tuner and don't know anyone that has one. I think the Superchips tuner gives you more HP than the H-tech from reading about them both.

I have ran both and my opinion was that the superchip deffinitly deliverd more power and lower egts but the hypertech added a mile or so to a gallon with noticible gains hope this helps

The superchips is definitely the best unit.

Another ignorant question. What is a flip chip and what is the advantage of one over a tuner" Thanks again,
B
