Escape purchase advice

My mom just brought a 2017 Escape s. I think for her this was a good deal. Its stripped. But compared to her 2005 Escape XLT it has all the option she needs.We the 2.5 I feel is better to for her city driving and 10 plus years she keeps her car less things to repair. Hope it is as good as her 2005. She got it for 18,500 plus traded in on the 2005 out the door.My sister and niece both have the ecoboosts no issues from either one is 1.6 other 2.0. On the older Escapes with the 2.5 they make good power but they need to rev up a little more.
