Saw that one, but hard to digest $150.
Wondering if I should buy a passenger side tray and cut/rotate the support brackets.

Hi,I bought a 25$ reproduction for the pass. battery cut all the spot welds and flipped all of the brackets on the tray to the opposite direction and welded it back together and made a factory drivers side tray that looks stock and bolts in to all of the factory locations. The trays are mirrors of each other..

+2 on that! I didn't want to spend that kinda money either. The last used one I seen it go for over $100 as well.

I'm not in a hurry to do the 2nd battery but it's on my radar. Reworking an aftermarket try to a left hand side works for me!

That's not possible if the brackets are physically mirrored of each other.

That means the brackets would have to be bent 180° or the brackets are not bolted to the core support and inner fender as originally designed.

If it is, then kudos. But I've thought of doing the same with a passenger bracket and its a no-go.

Dang it, you are correct. Just put my aux tray beside a passenger-side tray and the bolt holes would need to swing 180 to fit. Crap.
Back to the hunt!
Thx for pointing that out.

All is not lost...an option is to find a rotted driver-side tray and drill out its brackets and reuse them on the repro passenger-side tray... after removing its passenger-side specific brackets of course.

Both my DS brackets aren't too, too bad, the bigger one is iffy, maybe I can use them on a new base tray.
Thx for the advice.

No. I understood perfectly what you wrote.

And what you wrote lacked specificity as to cutting the brackets themselves to reverse their direction.

Moving on...

That's exactly what I ended up doing. Used my old driver side brackets on a new passenger side tray bottom (after removing its brackets).
Good as factory new!
