OMG! I'm totally against 3-phase alternating current in wooden homes above 3500 feet in elevation, too! Huzzah! I've heard that Chevy is always campaigning against those bird feeders with the tilt-y metal roofs to keep squirrels out. *snorts* just one more reason to dislike them.

Any body tries to take my gun I'll hit em with a can of pepsi. Or maybe shoot cans of pepsi at them out of my spud gun. I hope they don't outlaw pvc pipe so I can't make spud guns.

I believe in not supporting company's with objectionable policies but I think you could end up chasing your tail if you a zealous about it. So many companys are owned by other companys and buyouts and mergers occur daily. You could consume yourself trying to keep up with it all. It is however, easy enough to buy American and not support child labor and borderline slavery of the third world countrys and the orient that have taken over our cocnsumer goods.

Buying American certainly doesn't stop child sweatshop labor or unfair work standards; any American company that produces a product with slim margins and stiff competition has been FORCED to manufacture outside the US.
Buying American is a farce, anymore, sad to say. If you buy a product fabricated, assembled, and sold entirely in the United States, you tend to pay a premium for it. Incidentally, I sell a product fabricated, assembled and sold entirely in the USA: GOULDS PUMPS. Then again, most water systems pumps are built in the United States...but buy a Goulds anyway. They are corporate supporters of the NRA and NASCAR. How much more American can you get??

I realize buying American doesn't stop anything but I just feel better about myself if I don't support it any more than I have too. I am barely middle income anymore and struggle to raise a family but I still pay 4 times as much for a work shirt to have an American made one that fits and lasts. My jeans-Carrharts, my shoes-Redwings. I realize I have to accept some import items but Chinese is at the bottom of my list because they persecute more Christians than any country on the planet and execute them on a regular basis. Since our country was founded on Godly principals and Christian values, I take that as not only a personal insult but a slap in the face as an American.

willowbilly3,

I agree with you. It's hard to personalize a multinational corporation like you would an individual. Since they aren't in the gun business, I don't think they really care one way or the other. As long as people drink their product, they'll get behind whatever cause that will benefit them! If you have a mutual fund or retirement account, you probably own pepsi stock!!!
