I'm wondering if I'm missing a setting somewhere to dim the DIC between the tach and speedo more. It is brighter than the surrounding gauges and I find it distracting when driving at night.
I kike my dash dim to not ruin my night vision. I found the dim offset setting on my large nav display which is perfect but can't find something similar for the DIC. And I know how to dim the dash lights with the rocker switch. It does dim the DIC but it's brighter than everything else.
Am am I missing a setting? Sometimes I select the blank page to cut down on the light being emitted but that's not a great solution as I like the info the DIC can provide when driving.
Thnaks for any any help or tips that might teach me about something I haven't done or tried. This is on a 2015 F350 ultimate lariat CC.
As far as I know, the blank screen is your only option. I have read the owner's manual and gone through all the settings many, many times and never found anything for dimming the DIC.
My night vision is more readily destroyed by the yahoos with all their LED lights on. I might start carrying my one million candle power boat light with me.
Well at least I know I'm not missing something. I was very happy to find the dim offset in the main nav display though. That was always way too bright on the Expedition. My wife doesn't seem to care though.

Try a piece of window tint film over it. Worked like a charm on my overly bright alarm clock.
I'm assuming you've tried this button? pressing the lower part in my 2011 darkens the info center and the whole cluster. try holding the bottom down for a bit
