Has anyone done racks and or tool boxes? I would love to see some pics. I had a backrack and toolbox on my 04. After the years the backrack started to rust so I'm thinking an aluminum one this time but have not really found anything that jumped out at me so far. I'm also on the fence as far a crossover box, I do love the storage but loosing that much bed space certainly stinks at times, how are you guys dealing with storage?
I don't know what's available where you are but we have custom fab shops that do aluminum headache racks, with rail covers all the way down the bed rails, with cutouts for the across bed tool bocpx so it's off of the floor of the bed. This allows for an aluminum fuel tank, or space to use the whole length of the bed. Let us know where you are and maybe we can suggest. I have an under tonneau cover custom aluminum tool box from my current truck, but I haven't bit the bullit and mounted in the 2017. I don't need a fuel tank as mines a long box this time so I have plenty of fuel on board. Now that I can't get this rig in a parking garage anyway I am thinking headache rack too. That is one sharp looking truck. What size of tires are you running? Do you go with a leveling kit, or lift kit? Also what brand of mud flaps are those? I like the length of the rear ones.
I'm also thinking an aluminum headache rack combined with a toolbox / transfer tank. I like how this one has an opening for the power rear window; not sure I like how much it sticks up over the cab roof.
