Looks good. If you have back up sensors in your truck, you will need to get a module (part # 119190) from e-trailer.com to use your additional lights. If you don't get the module, your truck will think there is a trailer hooked up at all times.
Thanks for the info! Do you know if it will light the reverse lights? It didn't mention it would on E trailer website.
Looks good Strokin. I'm personally thinking a diamond-plate top that sits a couple of inches above the bed sides...my taste...and an aluminum headache rack with some slats on the back but like yours with the porthole power window exposed.
What are the handle things I see on the inside of your bed rails?
Tie down rails if you need extra points for strapping something down.
I tried to move my ProTech rack and toolbox to the new truck. The rack from my 2005 was too wide by an inch. The box just fit and would not leave room for the rack support or bolts from the side so the question of do I want it now or not has been answered. My original reason to have it was so I could leave the back window open and not worry about my husky jumping out or someone putting their hand too close to her.
Another week and I should have my box back with LineX inside and out.
the very same. Late '04 which gives it the preferred duramax for that year though I don't remember the designation. Lly maybe?
LLY is correct; it replaced the LB7 which was the original Duramax. The LB7 was a good engine but had injector issues and you had to pull the valve covers to get to them which was a pain. LLY let you replace them through the valve cover plus the injectors didn't fail as much anyway, although my uncle's 2005 LLY just lost one.
I wonder how noticeable the wind noise from the racks is in these trucks. I had a headache rack with expanded metal that was loud as hell. Our new one has round horizontal members that don't make nearly as muck noise. It doesn't help that the truck is a regular cab so the rack is right there behind you.
Headache rack and Side rails are from Highway Products, they make some good quality stuff! Rigid Industries Scene lights hooked up to the upfitter switches turn night to day!!!! I modified the headache rack to work because its orginally off my '15 150. Bed box is Rim Rock Mfg. heavy duty and has hole for gooseneck. Whole set up weighs 8930lbs
. Got a 350 SRW on the way to replace the 250. 26k miles no problems
That is almost the exact same style I have been looking for, but cannot find, what brand or manufacturer it is?
BCI Fabrication
They are a really good group of people. Their customer service is out of this world. They will also custom build what you want. I added a sending unit to the tank and they built a cover over it to protect it. When they built my tank I planned delivery while on vacation when I was headed back from Colorado. When I passed through Amarillo, TX they drove from Oklahoma and met me to deliver it. When I got home the box didn't fit because of the way Ford built the bed with the small humps at he front Of the bed. I called Guy up took some pictures and he said no problem we will build you another box. They built the new box and then drove all the way from Oklahoma to Anahuac, TX to swap them out. After that I called Guy and said how about building me a headache rack, he said no problem and they delivered it to the house. If you give them a call tell them Brent from Texas says hi.
Finally got my BackRack Safety Rack and DeeZee low profile tool box. Back Rack makes good sturdy steel products, had to order the mounting kit separate because it was specific to a 21" toolbox.
