I'm also thinking an aluminum headache rack combined with a toolbox / transfer tank. I like how this one has an opening for the power rear window; not sure I like how much it sticks up over the cab roof.
This is exactly my thoughts, I also like how Back Rack offers light mount brackets, oh the decisions...
My Protech rack extends above the roof line about 3 inches. No problem with the CHMSL camera. I bought the rack to mount my Whelen light-nar. I hardit prededlled and re-enforced before mounting the light bar. Again, Hoping to post pictures soon.

Whereabouts in VT are you a fireman? Curious because I live right next door in NH about 5 minutes from VT. I'm in the Upper Valley area.
I am on in Wilmington. I also do some part-time work for Speedway Safety (Golden Cross Ambulance) once the race season starts.
If you need to see the truck in person, drop me a line and we can meet up on weekends.
I'm very familiar with Golden Cross, they have headquarters in Claremont where I have family. I had to look up your town - never been there. Been to Bennington, and of course Manchester VT occasionally. Went to school at Keene State, not too far east of you.
Appreciate the offer - I can PM you if I get that serious. I'm still in the contemplation phase...

Looks good. I actually really like the toolbox. Would like something like that but with a transfer tank / tool box combo. Thanks for posting. Is the light bar on top of the headache rack a Whelen unit?
Thanks for the compliment. I don't see why a transfer tank wouldn't work. Yes the light-bar is a Whelen Freedom. The front 6 sections are red over clear(white) the rear center 6 are red over amber. All corners are red. The red, clear, and amber are all on different switches. The grille lights are Whelen M7's (half red, half clear). The two "black boxes" are siren speakers. All lighting and siren tones are controlled by a Whelen Cencom Saphire. One of these days I will make a video.
The extra lights on the tool box are S/T/T (outside ovals), and red Whelen TIR 6 (inside ovals).
I thought they might be. Just had the opportunity to tour the Whelen plant in Charlestown recently. Very nice manufacturing facility. Its amazing how much brighter LEDs are compared to the old traditional "strobes."
Video of your truck all lit up would be cool. Is your truck gas or diesel?
Yes it is a diesel. And the Whelen facility in Charlestown is amazing, as is the facility in Connecticut. All I will use is Whelen because they are a local company and their customer service is second to none.
Looks good. If you have back up sensors in your truck, you will need to get a module (part # 119190) from e-trailer.com to use your additional lights. If you don't get the module, your truck will think there is a trailer hooked up at all times.
Looks good Strokin. I'm personally thinking a diamond-plate top that sits a couple of inches above the bed sides...my taste...and an aluminum headache rack with some slats on the back but like yours with the porthole power window exposed.
What are the handle things I see on the inside of your bed rails?
