I took these injectors out of my engine I threw a rod in. Before I put them in I was hoping to get some tips on wether or not they are ok to use again. My worries are, where the top and bottom thred together some have different amounts of thred left. I just don't want to have half of an injector stuck when r&d catches up and I get a new set. Thanks I obviously didn't get this injector to seat right ( torque down enough before running). I never saw a leak though.

 

Are they all the same code? Some may be reman with different nozzles. As long as they are tight, don't leak and pop at the correct psi o wouldn't worry about it.

May I ask how you threw a rod on you're old motor?

 

I threw a rod out of pure stupidity. The rear main was leaking and I was trying to wait and just keep the oil level right.

 

Are you saying rod failure is very rare in these engines ?
