Glad you got it going. I have never had accessories make any difference. But no matter now.
Just remember, back up your modules BEFORE making any changes. I recommend only making one change at a time. Also have a notebook (spreadsheet) Tracking your changes. It is very easy to get lost. Don't ask how I know that.
I have a question for some on here is there a direct cable instead of BT and if so does it work. Sorry I did see a part listed for that in the instructions so I assume that it works the same.
Wow, all you guys are awesome. Way to stick with Oklarado and help him get hooked up. This is one of the best forums ever. Congrats to everyone involved (especially Epic and Zoo).

Camping nut.
Yes it's called USB adapter.
Some people like wireless some like cable. Mostly depends on your laptop. Older may not have BT. There are a bunch of adapters. LivnItUp did a large comparison of what works and what doesn't.
I just went with the OBDLink MX and never looked back.
Hope this helps.

Hey Tim. The cabled version apparently does not work. Only the bluetooth works for writing changes to modules.
Well no luck on the tire size re-program. I used the values that kubotaorange had listed since that's the same new tire size I have. It must be too big of a jump over my stock 17" basic wheels because it threw a DTC. So I went back in and put it back to stock and cleared the code. Now I just have to decipher the numbers and plug in a slightly smaller number that will work.

That's the exact right approach and a good confirmation of what has been reported previously. You can change the tire sizes to anything you want and correct the speedo, but if the change is too much the truck detects the difference probably with the rear gear values and throws the code. I heard that you can really only make a change that won't throw a code in the 1 or 2 percent range.
Well no dice on that. Its back the "no elm found" I'm guessing the adapter is just finicky. The funny thing is now it goes to COM 4, and COM5 before it says "no elm found". It didn't make it that far on the checks last night.
It's just cycling through all the possible ports where an ELM could possibly be. It tries the bluetooth adapter first because that what you set on the settings tab. Did you unplug and replug your adapter to re-initialize it? You might need to do that after each change.
Yes sir I unplug it each time. I think I pressed my luck enough for now.....I'll fiddle with it again some other day. Besides the UPS man dropped off some Westin HDX side steps yesterday so I need to get those mounted up. The inner tightwad in me just couldn't pay for AMP powersteps.

Im thinking funky adapter.
Changing tire size with FORScan will always toss a DTC. FORScan can not change a value in the PCM yet. It can be done with IDS, but can only access stock tire sizes, nothing custom. I had to use a an 18" tire size to get very close to my 34" on dually rim.
