I know there are differences in the 67 year vs. 68-72
I know the doors have different characteristics also. I remember reading somewhere that the wing windows were also different. If so will they work on 68-69 trucks? Are the wing windows on a 67 the same from f100 f250 and f350?
If the wing windows can be used on 68-69 are there modifications needed to make them work?
Vent frames and the handles are 1967 F100/750 only. The glass itself is the same 1967/72 F100/750.
1967: You push the inside handles forward to lock the doors, 1968/72's have door lock *****.
1967 only: Door shells, window regulators, door lock remote controls, window and inside door handles, armrests, door latches, door lock cylinder rods, vent frames & handles.
1967/72 same: Upper/lower hinges, division bars, outside door handles, glass, weatherstrips, door lock cylinders, striker plates on door posts.
Complete 1967 doors will fit 1968/72's and vice versa.
Good information and I appreciate it. Now can the wing/vent window frame be used on 68-69? What makes the frame different? The rest I get, just not the frame part.

I dunno if 1967 vent frames will work on 1968/72's, never compared them.
While the 1967 vent frames (and handles) are different than 1968/72, the retainers for the vent frame weatherstrips are the same 1967/72.
Hey gangstakr, I recently joined and see this is kinda old, but if you've discovered the `67 wing window frames don't fit for what you need, if they're in good shape, I could find a good home for them. Also, I did see what looks like a good pair of, what's described as `68's online for sale. Please let me know. Thanx. BT

If there wasn't a difference, the R/L vent frame and handle part numbers would be the same 1967/72. They ain't.

Part #'s shmart #'s! Technically the vent window frame is exactly the same. The small insert that holds the latch mechanism in and is held in the frame with two spot welds is what is different. In addition, the only difference between the 67 and the 68-72 window channel assembly is the small stainless wear pad where the wing latch slides onto the channel assembly. The 67 stainless pad is 1.5 inches long and the 68-72 pad is 2.5 inches long. With that being said; you can easily swap the entire wing window/channel assembly between all 67 to 72 trucks. Or you can take a 67 vent window assembly and use it on any 68 to 72 vent window/channel assembly. You could also take a 68-72 vent window assembly and use it on a 67 vent /channel assembly; however, when you close the latch, the part of the latch that slides too the stainless pad will slightly rub the channel just above the pad because the pad is only 1.5 inches tall, not 2.5 like the 68-72. But it will "work" per say.
F100today good thing taking pics of the differences. words are always helpful but pictures on top of it helps clear up any confusion. Thanks for posting these up.
