Hi, I recently replaced the head gaskets and had the heads rebuild, and the injectors rebuilt. At start up when cold, the idle is a little ruff but consistent. When it gets to operating temperature it starts to surge. the idle will drop to almost zero and bounce back and keep repeating until it decides to stall. the only thing different I've done between tearing it down and putting it back together is block the egr off, both at the exhaust and intake. Oh, and it seems to be running rich. any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!
A good way to find that leaking vacuum hose is a can of WD 40 or a can of carb cleaner. Spray lines and you will here it rev for a second when it sucks in the vapors, eventually you can isolate the hose. It works well to inspect in places hard to get to.
