Vent window?

The passenger vent window works great. The drivers side vent window does nothing when the button is pushed. Are the two run off the same relay/fuse? How difficult is it to replace the motor/actuator? This is on a 99 EB Expy. Thanks.

Is the motor moving? Sometimes they just get stuck. I've had luck just helping them a few times while someone pushes the button and then they keep going for a while.

I didn't have anyone to help me check it. I will have to wait til tuesday to try again. I didn't hear anything running when I tried it. Thanks for the idea.

Did you test for power at the motor leads while operating the switch before ordering a new motor?

No. I haven't pulled anything apart yet. And I don't have a tester. Do you know if both side run off the same fuse/relay?

No because none of the wiring diagrams I have show vent window wiring for a 1999. But logic would dictate they are on the same fuse since all power window circuits run through the one and only master switch with it's lockout feature.

Just to cover all the bases, have you checked 01-02? It would also stand to reason that the 97-98 setup would be very similar too.

For 97-98, the rear vent windows have a dedicatded fuse. I'll be doing the fixed to vent window conversion as my next project, once my house is up & running

Yes, the only vent windows seem to be on the pick up trucks.

I think you're mistaken, in that we are referring to the rearmost windows between the C and D pillars. Switches are in the overhead console, labeled VENT, one for each side for the confort of third row passengers.

I guess I finally went braindead.

Those are both on the same fuse #17, which is where that C arrow goes in this PDF.
