In the Advanced Vehicle Settings screen you can choose DTE mode as normal or towing. Oddly, selecting Towing mode increased my range by 4 miles. Any idea why this would be? Maybe the 34 gallon tank folks can benefit from this?

Sometimes, not always, my '16 does the same thing. Don't know, don't care as to why. When my fuel gauge gets down between 1/4 and 1/2, I need to strech the legs and relieve the bladder anyway.

I tried this on a long trip home and it dropped my DTE by 40 miles over the next 5 miles of driving. I went back to normal and the DTE was climbing as I drove. It was funny.
My guess is that the calculation uses your MPG over the last 100 miles of driving instead of the last 500 (just throwing numbers out...could be 250 or something). So, if you were actually getting better fuel economy in those last 100 than you averaged over the last 500, your DTE would go up.

Makes sense - that might explain my case. +4 miles surely isn't a big gain, lol.
