red led bulb is your answer, the white one makes the light look funky even in the amber lights. i ended up buying two sets of four light bulbs cause first i bought all white LED's . Like 1985 Bronco said you need the LED flasher.
1985 Bronco and martinbarrio: Thanks for helping. I went to the broncograveyard.com and put "LED flasher" in the search field and got nothing. Here is what is available on Amazon:
I put LED bulbs in the rear only, and since I still had incandescent bulbs up front in the circuit there was enough resistance to make the flasher work properly. If you replace the front bulbs they would blink wonky.
