I'm sure this has been explained many times, but it may be easier to find it this way. Here's the problem, I have a 1970 f-250, a project truck that started as a farm truck, and the windshield has seen much better days. A guy down the road has an assortment of older cars and trucks, and possibly a truck with a windshield that will fit. Due to the fact that the trucks have no registration stickers, and that the bodies have seen better days it is hard to tell which year is which. I know a windshield from any 67-72 will fit, but it is hard for me to know if it is a 66 or 67 or a 72 or 73. If someone has the knowledge of how to tell a model year of a 67-72 from the vin I would greatly appreciate you sharing it!

Windshield is the same 1967/72 F100/750; 1973/79 F100/880; 1978/79 Bronco.
But the windshield weatherstrip is 1967/72 F100/750 only and there are two different types: With or without stainless steel windshield reveal mouldings.
1967/72's are called Bumpsides, as they have a raised scallop line thru the center of the body.
1973/79's are called Dentsides, as they have a concave scallop line thru the center of the body, ditto 1978/79 Bronco.
1961/66's are entirely different, use different bodies, beds and etc.

this clears a lot up for me! I found a few of the trucks he has that do have the raised body line just like mine, in theory any truck with a raised body line will have a windshield that also fits.. Right?
